Role Overview



We're looking for a

REACH Compliance Specialist

to help aerospace and industrial suppliers transition their operations to meet

REACH (Registration, Evaluation, Authorisation and Restriction of Chemicals)

requirements. You'll be supporting suppliers with compliance, guiding them through chemical substitution, audits, and regulatory reporting - all while working within a leading engineering services provider.

What You'll Be Doing



Guide suppliers on

REACH regulations

and best practices. Help identify and replace restricted substances (SVHCs) in manufacturing processes. Carry out

audits, gap assessments, and compliance transition plans

. Monitor updates to the REACH candidate, authorisation, and restriction lists, ensuring suppliers stay compliant. Check supplier

Safety Data Sheets (SDS), declarations, and compliance records

. Deliver training sessions to supplier teams on chemical compliance. Act as the link between suppliers, engineering services teams, and OEM compliance functions. Track and report supplier compliance progress. Support sustainability, risk reduction, and continuous improvement initiatives.


Qualifications

What We're Looking For



Essential



Degree in

Chemistry, Materials Science, Environmental Science, Engineering

or similar. Solid understanding of

REACH legislation

and chemical regulatory frameworks. Experience working with or auditing suppliers in

compliance or quality management

. Strong communication and stakeholder management skills.

Desirable



Background in

aerospace, defence, automotive, or other regulated sectors

. Knowledge of

ISO14001, APQP/PPAP

, or related standards. Experience delivering supplier training/workshops. Lean/Six Sigma or process improvement background.
