Uniting Talent are currently recruiting for a Reach & Counterbalance FLT driver for our client based in Hartlepool.

Licence must be external and dated within the last 3 years

Time and a half paid for any overtime

Working Hours: Monday - Friday, 2pm until 10pm - perm back shift

Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Forklift Operator to join our dynamic team. The successful candidate will be responsible for operating forklifts to move, load, and unload materials within our warehouse environment. This role requires a strong understanding of warehouse operations and the ability to handle heavy lifting safely and efficiently.

Responsibilities

Operate forklifts to transport materials and products within the warehouse. Load and unload goods from lorries, ensuring safe handling and placement. Maintain accurate records of inventory movements using a Warehouse Management System (WMS). Assist in shipping and receiving processes, ensuring all items are accounted for. Conduct routine inspections and basic repairs on equipment to ensure optimal performance. Adhere to all safety protocols while operating machinery and handling materials. Collaborate with team members to maintain an organised and efficient workspace.

Experience

Proven experience in materials handling within a warehouse setting is preferred. Strong mechanical knowledge with the ability to perform equipment repairs as needed. Familiarity with shipping and receiving processes is advantageous. Ability to perform heavy lifting safely, with a focus on ergonomics. Basic maths skills for inventory management and record keeping are essential. A valid forklift operator's licence is required, along with a commitment to safety practices in the workplace.
