Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled and reliable Forklift Operator to join our warehouse team. The successful candidate will be responsible for efficiently handling materials, operating forklifts safely, and supporting overall warehouse operations. This role requires a strong understanding of warehouse management systems, mechanical knowledge, and the ability to perform heavy lifting. Responsibilities

Operate forklift equipment safely and efficiently to load, unload, and move materials within the warehouse Manage inventory using warehouse management systems to track stock levels and locations Assist with shipping and receiving processes, ensuring accurate documentation and handling of goods Perform basic equipment repairs and maintenance checks to ensure operational safety Handle materials with care, adhering to safety protocols for heavy lifting and storage Support the organisation of storage areas for optimal space utilisation and accessibility Assist in the loading and unloading of lorries, ensuring timely dispatch and receipt of goods Maintain a clean and organised work environment, following health and safety standards

Qualifications

Valid forklift licence recognised by relevant authorities Previous experience in warehouse management or logistics environment preferred Knowledge of equipment repair and mechanical systems advantageous Experience with warehouse management systems (WMS) is desirable Ability to handle materials safely, including heavy lifting up to specified weight limits Basic mathematical skills for inventory counts and measurements Strong organisational skills with attention to detail Good communication skills and ability to work as part of a team
