We are seeking a talented and committed
Reading Recovery
Teaching Assistant
to join our dedicated team.
Position Details
This role will focus mainly on Reading and Writing to support children of all ages across the school.
This is a
fixed-term 2-year contract until 31 August 2027
. Continued employment beyond this date may be considered based on the needs of the school.
Candidates must be eligible to live and work in the UK and will be required to complete an enhanced DBS check.
The successful candidate will:
Have experience of working with pupils in an educational setting.
Be proficient in both written and spoken English
Be resilient, cheerful, patient, and flexible.
Have a strong understanding of safeguarding procedures.
Be prepared to work across the school, providing one-on-one or group support to pupils who require additional help with their reading and writing skills.
Be able to deliver targeted interventions to individuals or groups of pupils.
Participate in school activities and initiatives to ensure pupils receive the highest quality of education.
Hold a minimum of Grade C in English and Maths GCSE or an equivalent qualification.
Knowledge of Read Write Inc. would be beneficial.
