Real Estate Account Handler

The Role:

An excellent opportunity has arisen in one of our desktop handling teams. We are seeking an individual, ideally with experience of handling commercial claims but experience within a claims handling environment will be considered.

The role will involve working within a well-established team, managing International commercial property claims from first notification of loss through to settlement. The claims will be managed by our colleagues globally and you will be responsible for the oversight and data capture via our UK based IT platform. We will provide you with the training and tools that you need to help develop your skills and knowledge.

We\xe2\x80\x99re looking for an individual who is able to demonstrate excellent communication and listening skills, combined with the ability to impart information and maintain accurate data. Proven skills in developing and maintaining close working relationships, both internally and externally is essential.

Although part of a team, the role will require you to work independently, so the ability to use your own initiative to drive claims forward is imperative.

You will manage a client portfolio of claims liaising directly with our colleagues globally to ensure that the claims are progressing as per our client service levels and that we are being provided with accurate and timely claim updates to inform our bordereau submissions. You will have:

Good level of education \xe2\x80\x93 at least to GCSE level or equivalent

Previous claim experience

Good negotiation skills

Excellent communication skills both written and verbal with Customers, Clients and Colleagues

The ability to prioritise your workload effectively

The ability to work on your own initiative and take ownership of your own caseload of claims at the same time as working together as a team

The ability to develop and maintain a close working relationship with our customers, to promote customer satisfaction during all stages of the claim

Ability to demonstrate understanding and empathy throughout

Excellent IT skills

Existing or intention to become Cert / Dip CII qualified
