Hive is a real estate capital advisory firm headquartered in the Northwest, operating across the UK property market. Part of the McGoff Group of companies, Hive acts for both the McGoff group and external clients.
We specialise in sourcing and structuring debt and equity for projects spanning the real estate sector, with particular expertise in residential, build-to-rent (BTR), care, retirement, and children's day nursery assets.
With over a decade of industry experience and direct involvement in transactions totalling nearly 1bn as both lender and investor, the Hive Capital Advisory team is well placed to provide solutions to almost any real estate capital requirement.
Job functions:
Ultimate responsibility for assisting the team with their strategic and operational responsibilities, including (but not limited to):
Assisting with the analysis of new funding and investment opportunities;
Manipulating and appraising financial models for potential transactions;
Drafting application packs to present to Lenders/Investors, including compiling market data and liaising with Lenders/Investors/Borrowers for required information surrounding each transaction;
Responding promptly to queries from other teams within the wider group;
Production of various monitoring reports for review by C-suite staff;
Research into specific markets or sectors to support transactions;
Reviewing term sheets to understand loan specifics and use these to model likely loan scenarios.
Review monitoring reports, visit sites and create progress reports to ensure facilities remain compliant.
Who we are looking for:
We are looking for a candidate with excellent communication skills who is confident working to frequently demanding deadlines.
As such, an ability to work under pressure, a very high standard of literacy and numeracy, and the ability to prepare financial and analytical ideas in written format, are all essential, as is an interest in property.
A basic understanding of corporate finance or property development would be an advantage.
We are a small and nimble team, and good time planning is essential. Whilst we will look to provide close guidance and supervision, our ultimate goal is that the suitable candidate has ownership over their own work, to do list and daily priorities.
This role would suit a self-starter with a keen eye for detail and outstanding communication skills.
