Real Estate Paralegal

Southampton, ENG, GB, United Kingdom

Job Description

Our Real Estate teams are growing, fast. With a national presence of over 200 fee earners across 8 UK locations we're a force to be reckoned with. But just because we're big doesn't mean we've lost our personal touch. It's the quality and commerciality of our service, our industry insight and the talent and passion of our people that engages our clients, and they love what we do. It also means that our people are engaged, and excited about the opportunities for growth and development in our business - there is no doubt that it's an exciting place to be.

Our Southampton real estate team is extremely busy with a wide range of work. You will have the opportunity to work with national prestigious funds, asset managers, property companies, charities, and both public and private investors investing in UK real estate, handling high-value disposals and acquisitions and joining a dynamic and responsive team which deals with the whole lifecycle of asset management and development work arising from such investments. This particular team has a national reputation for the quality of its work and client following.

We need people who are keen to be part of an ambitious team focused on growth and success, who are prepared to work hard and reap the rewards. Just as important though is the ability to have fun, to be inspired by the work you do and to enjoy the company of your colleagues. If that sounds like you, we want to hear from you.

What will you be doing?

This is a property role with a non-exclusive focus on Developers & Investors - that may mean working on disposals and acquisitions of high value institutional grade assets, including industrial estates, office blocks, shopping centres and high street retail. In this busy team you'll have the opportunity to manage your own case load of real estate transactions and you'll support the team by drafting and negotiating legal documentation and assisting with post completion and other tasks. You'll play an important role in assisting our lawyers on a wide range of matters. Along with regular supervision and support, there will also be plenty of opportunity for regular client contact to enhance your communication and relationship building skills.

So what are we looking for?

To be successful in this role you'll need as a minimum:

Completed your law degree or other legal qualification and/or have previously worked as a Paralegal, Legal Assistant or similar. Legal/non-legal work experience in real estate/property. Experience managing multiple workloads simultaneously
