Job Description

As the Real Estate Partner in Newcastle, you will lead growth of the practice, leverage your contacts and build a market presence. You'll steer strategy, originate work, and deliver high-value transactions.
The Real Estate Partner will be:

  • Leading the strategy and development of the real estate / property practice in Newcastle
  • Originating and winning high-value real estate mandates (development, investment, landlord/occupier, disposals)
  • Managing complex transactions, negotiating deals and overseeing execution
  • Building and leveraging relationships with clients, developers, investors, and institutional contacts
  • Supervising, mentoring and growing a team of solicitors and associates
  • Collaborating closely with other practice groups
  • Setting budgets, billing, profitability targets and performance management
  • Representing the firm at client, industry, networking and business development events

The Real Estate Partner should be:
  • A partner or equivalent senior legal leader with an established real estate practice
  • Able to bring a strong portfolio of clients, contacts and mandates
  • Experienced in development, investment, landlord / occupier, site acquisition work
  • Skilled in negotiation, strategy, and commercial leadership
  • Proven track record in business development and revenue growth
  • Able to lead, manage and inspire a team, with strong people management skills
  • Have ties to Newcastle upon Tyne
