About The Role
The role
We're looking to welcome a new team member into our Investment, Asset Management and Occupiers team at Associate or Senior Associate level. This opportunity sits within our nationally recognised Real Estate team, based in Birmingham, and offers the chance to work closely with our partners on a broad range of commercial property transactions. Our clients include property funds, offshore entities, national retailers and SMEs, and we pride ourselves on delivering clear, commercial advice that adds real value.
We're ideally seeking a qualified Solicitor with relevant real estate experience obtained at a large of medium sized firm. This role is particularly well-suited to someone who is confident, commercially aware and keen to build their own client relationships while contributing to the success of the wider team.

Our Real Estate team is known for its technical excellence and commercial insight across all areas of property law, including development, investment, landlord and tenant, finance, litigation, planning and environmental. We work collaboratively across Gateley Legal and with our wider property businesses, Gateley Capitus, Gateley Hamer, RJA, Gateley Smithers Purslow and Gateley Vinden, giving us a unique edge in the market.
You'll be joining a friendly, supportive and sociable team where you'll be encouraged to contribute, grow and support others. We value a one-team approach and believe in working together to achieve the best outcomes for our clients.
The person
This role would suit an Associate or Senior Associate with a minimum of 4 years' PQE and experience in the following areas:

You'll have experience supporting and perhaps running property investment transactions, including analysing due diligence, preparing title reports and advising on acquisitions and disposals. The ability to deliver succinct, commercially focused advice is key.
Asset Management / Landlord & Tenant
You'll be confident drafting leases, agreements for lease, licences and other asset management documentation. Experience acting for both landlords and tenants across sectors such as retail, office and industrial is highly desirable.
