Our Heath Analytics practice provides analytical and research services for organisations across the life sciences and healthcare industries. Our team brings together clinicians, statisticians, epidemiologists, health economists, bioinformaticians and health data scientists alongside our established actuarial, analytics and technology teams to deliver new solutions to the fundamental challenges in health.
Our team's mission is to help move health systems from importers of illness to exporters of health and to support our clients to deliver value to patients. We have already developed a track record for leading approaches to real world evidence generation, drug safety, health economic modelling, evidence strategy and market access. We have been growing the team quickly in response to the demand we are seeing for the service offerings we have developed and are now looking for a Real-World Evidence (RWE) Associate Consultant to join our team of experts and strengthen our capabilities in this area.
What's the role?
You will play a key role in the design and analysis of studies using real world healthcare data, such as electronic healthcare records, registries and claims databases. We are looking for someone who can bring a high level of scientific rigor and who is motivated to work at the cutting edge of methods and RWE study designs, and provide excellent service to our clients. You background may be as an epidemiologist focussing on study design and reporting, statistician focussing on analytical methods or data scientist focussed on programming - we do not expect you to be an expert in all of these areas.

Our Health Analytics work:
LCP's Health Analytics team works across the healthcare and life sciences markets, combining health expertise with innovative approaches from our work in other sectors to tackle leading health issues.
Examples of the types of projects that we undertake for our clients include:
Real world evidence studies using electronic healthcare records, registries, biobanks and databases
Advanced study designs including external comparator arms and quantitative bias analysis
Innovative approaches to identifying and quantifying unmet need and inequalities

What will you be doing?
As an Associate Consultant in LCP's Health Analytics team you will be involved in a diverse range of projects, covering both client and non-client work. Your key responsibilities will be to:
Demonstrate a very high level of expertise in epidemiology, statistics or health data science/programming
Contribute (aligned with your skills) to the design an execution of RWE studies including:
+ Proposal development
+ Protocol development
+ SAP development
+ Project management
+ Programming (R/SQL/Python)
+ Quality control
+ Report writing
What skills, qualities and experience must you have?
Demonstrable experience in a relevant role at a pharmaceutical company, CRO or consultancy, with a minimum 2:1 degree or better in a numerate or science subject, and a health-related Masters degree or PhD
An excellent grounding in relevant methods with demonstrated experience in conceptualising and delivering previous studies and projects
Excellent communication skills alongside good presentation skills and the ability to explain complex issues to others
Excellent report writing skills
Excellent Microsoft Office skills and be highly competent in the use of Outlook, Excel, Word, and PowerPoint
If your specialist area is Data Science/Programming, you should be expert in R. SQL, Python and PySpark experience is desirable but not essential
Excellent organisational skills and able to coordinate the work of multi-disciplinary teams with ease. The role will require regular multi-tasking across client projects, project management of client engagements, and the mentoring and coordination of les experienced members of the team
