Receipts and Payments Supervisor

The role
We're excited to announce a new chapter for our finance department at Marshall Motor Group! As part of our expansion, we're moving into a brand-new, modern office designed to foster collaboration and creativity. We are seeking a dedicated and motivated Receipts and Payments Supervisor to join our team. In this role, you will assist with the day-to-day operations of the receipts and payments function while ensuring that minimum standards are met and maintained. You will be responsible for leading your team, ensuring excellent customer service, and ensuring all technical processes run smoothly.
What You'll Do
Post and allocate all cash sheets (site banking), undertaking journals where necessary
Post cash paid entries onto Keyloop (cheques & cleared banking)
Respond to Direct Payment Notifications (DPNs) from sites and provide necessary documentation to Accounts Receivable.
Carry out full bank reconciliations and publicise to AR/AP and Accountants to resolve outstanding items
Query and resolve any issues surrounding cash sheets and reconciliations
Ensure all documents are uploaded to the relevant Drive for easy retrieval
Investigate any aged lodgements and report any debit balances directly to the relevant Senior Accountant.
Investigate aged unpaid cheques and liaise with dealership accountant and cancel where necessary with agreement
Provide fully reconciled bank accounts to the Head of Receipts and Payments
Carry out annual appraisals of direct reports

Proficient cashiering and accounts reconciliation skills.
Exceptional customer service and telephone manner.
Ability to problem-solve and make things happen.
Attention to detail and a strong commitment to accuracy.
