We are seeking a motivated and experienced Reception Manager to lead our front-of-house team. Role Overview:
As the GP Reception Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing the daily operations of our reception area, ensuring a smooth and efficient service for our patients. You will lead a team of receptionists, providing guidance, support, and training to maintain high standards of patient care and administrative efficiency.
Key Responsibilities:
Team Leadership:
Manage and support the reception team, fostering a positive and collaborative working environment. Conduct regular team meetings and performance reviews to ensure continuous development and motivation.
Operational Management:
Oversee the day-to-day operations of the reception area, ensuring efficient patient flow and appointment scheduling. Implement and maintain effective systems and processes to enhance service delivery.
Patient Experience:
Ensure a welcoming and professional environment for patients, addressing any concerns or complaints promptly and effectively. Work closely with clinical staff to optimise patient care and satisfaction.
Administrative Duties:
Manage administrative tasks such as rota planning, holiday scheduling, and staff training. Ensure compliance with practice policies and procedures, including data protection and confidentiality.
Communication:
Act as a key point of contact between the reception team and other practice staff. Facilitate effective communication and collaboration to support the overall functioning of the practice.
Essential Criteria:
Previous experience as a Senior Receptionist or similar role within a healthcare setting.
Strong leadership and team management skills.
Experience in a GP practice or primary care environment.
Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
Proficiency in using healthcare IT systems and software.
Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple priorities effectively.
Desirable Criteria:
Knowledge of NHS policies and procedures.
Relevant qualifications in healthcare administration or management.
