We are recruiting for an enthusiastic and experienced Reception Supervisor to join our Reception team at Market Street hotel.
Ahead of an anticipated busy year, this role is to support our existing Reception team, offering personalized service to our guests.
About the Role
:
As Reception Supervisor, you will support the Reception Manager in the daily operation, leading the guest relations team and ensuring guest expectations are delivered and exceeded at all times.
You'll be highly motivated and have a creative personality, an abundance of positivity and give a warm welcome to every guest. You'll have impeccable personal presentation standards, be team orientated, and have excellent communication skills as you'll be working closely with other departments in the hotel.
Key Responsibilities:
Being an active member of the reception team, you will welcome all guests and give them a unique check-in and check-out experience
Develop high quality relationships with guests, from the moment they arrive and throughout their stay.
Provide hotel Duty Management cover, be the first point of contact in the event of an emergency situation or where any guest concerns are raised
Provide proactive support, ensuring our brand standards and creative energy is shown to colleagues and guests at all times
Assisting the Reception Manager with training and development, acting as a coach to develop ad inspire the team
Being a true local hero, providing concierge information about Edinburgh and beyond.
Resolve guest concerns in a positive, creative and timely manner
Ensure team members are carrying out their roles to the best of their ability
Ensure that guest documentation and information is available and up-to-date.
Ensure that information is passed on to other departments as necessary and to the other members of the department
Flexibility is a must - this role will be working 5 of 7 days working mostly weekends, but also nights/public holidays/weekdays as required.

Role Requirements:
At least one year of experience, preferably in a similar role, working in a 4 or 5 star hotel environment is essential for this position
Experience using Opera PMS is preferred but not essential
Excellent verbal and written communication
Must have a valid right to work in the United Kingdom
Flexibility is a must as you will be required to cover shifts over the weekends and night shifts
