Position 1:

30 hours per week (over 4 days)

Position 2:

37.5 hours per week (over 4 days)

Start times:

07:45

/ finish up to

18:30

(rota dependent)

Driving Licence:

Essential (two-site role)

(Applicants must be able to start work at 07:45 and/or finish at 18:30 depending on the rota.)

About the Role



Greens Norton & Weedon Medical Practice (GNWMP) is looking for enthusiastic, committed, and flexible individuals to join our friendly Reception and Administration team.

We are a two-site rural practice caring for approximately 14,800 patients. Due to the nature of the role, the ability to travel between both sites is essential, so a full UK driving licence and access to transport are required.

We are seeking individuals with a positive attitude, excellent communication skills, and a willingness to learn. Previous experience in a GP surgery or healthcare environment is desirable, but full training will be provided for the right candidates.

Main Duties and Responsibilities



As a Reception Administrator, you will play a vital role in ensuring the smooth day-to-day operation of the practice. You will be the first point of contact for patients, providing a professional and compassionate service while supporting the wider clinical and administrative teams.

Key responsibilities include:

Managing the reception desk and greeting patients in a courteous and professional manner Handling telephone and in-person appointment requests efficiently Processing online and electronic appointment and prescription requests Effectively signposting patients to the most appropriate clinician or service Managing patient correspondence and emails Updating patient records accurately on

SystmOne

Scanning and attaching documentation to patient records Supporting clinical and administrative colleagues as required Maintaining a tidy and organised reception area Assisting with audits, reporting, and data entry Contributing to health campaigns (e.g., flu clinics, awareness days) Ensuring confidentiality and compliance with data protection at all times

Essential Requirements



Excellent communication and interpersonal skills Strong organisational and multitasking abilities Professional, polite, and patient-focused approach Ability to work well within a busy team environment Flexibility to cover both sites as needed Full UK driving licence and access to a vehicle

Desirable



Previous experience working in a GP surgery or healthcare environment Knowledge of SystmOne (clinical system) Administrative or customer service experience
