We are a well-established, award-winning Complementary Therapy Centre in Balham, just a short walk from the station. With 6 beautiful treatment rooms, over 30 skilled therapists, and nearly 70 holistic treatments on offer, we are proud to be a hub for wellness in the local community.

We are currently seeking a highly organised, detail-oriented, and proactive individual to join our friendly and professional team. The successful candidate will initially begin in a reception role with full training and support, and will be promoted to Reception Manager upon successful completion of a probation period.

Role Overview



Position: Receptionist/Manager (following probation period)

Hours: 27.5 hours per week (set and non-negotiable)

Monday: 10:15am - 5:15pm Wednesday: 5:15pm - 9:45pm Thursday: 10:15am - 5:15pm Friday: 8:15am - 5:15pm

Key Responsibilities



Act as the first point of contact for therapists and reception staff Manage bookings and amendments (via phone, email, online, and in person Handle payments and front-of-house enquiries Maintain a consistently high standard of presentation at the front desk Create and distribute monthly newsletters Update website and schedule social media posts Generate and analyse weekly reports Liaise with prospective therapists and arrange viewings Actively seek new therapists, clients, and suppliers Attention to detail is essential in every aspect of this role, from accurate scheduling and communications to ensuring smooth day-to-day operations.

Requirements



Proven experience in a Receptionist or Front-of-House Manager role Able to commit to the specified shifts long-term Lives within 20 minutes travel time of SW12 Impeccable attention to detail and time management Calm, confident multitasker with excellent organisation skills Self-motivated and able to work independently Strong computer skills and familiarity with digital tools Social media experience preferred Willingness to cover occasional holiday shifts Interest in or knowledge of complementary therapies is a plus
