We are seeking a professional and friendly Receptionist to join our team in a private dental practice in the centre of Barnstaple. Our aim is to provide patients with high quality dentistry in a friendly, relaxed and professional environment. You will work closely with highly experienced Dentists and support staff, in modern new facilities, using expert software.
The ideal candidate will be the first point of contact for our patients, providing excellent customer service while managing administrative tasks. This role requires strong organisational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.

Duties
Greet and welcome patients in a warm and professional manner, providing a great first impression
Answer phone calls promptly, directing them to the appropriate personnel while maintaining excellent phone etiquette
Booking and amending appointments in an efficient and accurate manner
Updating patient details and records
Manage incoming and outgoing correspondence, including emails and postal mail
Answering and dealing with patient's email enquires)
Perform clerical duties such as data entry, filing, and maintaining organised records.
Maintain a clean and organised reception area to create a welcoming environment for clients
Supporting Practice Management and clinical team with various tasks as required for the smooth running of the practice
Making patients aware of dental services we offer
Handling payments and carrying out end of day cashing up
Accessing sensitive information whilst maintaining patient confidentiality
Liaising with dental laboratories, dentists and other third parties to ensure smooth running of the practice
Printing Day Lists
Ordering Reception and Office Stationery
Handling feedbacks and complaints
Maintain a friendly and professional demeanour to provide excellent patient care
Identify opportunities for improvement and collaborate with the team to implement positive changes
Keeping up with best practices, new technologies and innovations in the field of dentistry
Performing training
Ensuring strict adherence to clinical and safety protocols by the dental team
Demonstrate a sound understanding of Care Quality Commission (CQC) compliance (training will be provided)
Requirements
Experience from a dental practice would be a bonus but it is not essential
Experienced with iSmile software (not essential, training will be provided for the right candidate)
Excellent communication, customer service & time keeping skills
Strong IT skills
