About the Role




We're looking for someone who's friendly, organised and passionate about helping others to join our Training Academy as a

Receptionist

. You'll be the first point of contact for everyone who visits creating a warm, professional and safe environment for learners, trainers, contractors and colleagues.


This role is perfect for someone who enjoys variety, takes pride in keeping things running smoothly, and wants to be part of a team that's making a difference. You don't need to have worked in a training environment before we'll support you to learn and grow.

What You'll Be Doing



Welcoming visitors and making sure they have a great experience Preparing course registers and visitor badges Managing car park access and verifying visitors Keeping the reception area clean, tidy and safe Issuing badges and giving safety briefings Supporting training teams with room setup and logistics Maintaining breakout areas and refreshments Booking meeting rooms and setting up AV equipment Carrying out site checks (first aid kits, PPE, general upkeep) Handling mail, deliveries and courier packages Providing admin support (photocopying, scanning, filing, stock checks) Managing stationery and office supplies Vetting contractors and ensuring compliance with academy policies Tracking maintenance issues and updating logs
Following safeguarding, health and safety, and company procedures

Essential:



Experience in reception, customer service or admin Great communication skills written and verbal Strong organisational skills and ability to multitask Friendly, professional and customer-focused approach Confident using Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel) Proactive, detail-oriented and able to work independently Calm under pressure and adaptable to change Awareness of health & safety and safeguarding principles Willingness to learn and improve

Desirable:



Experience in education, training or regulated environments Knowledge of GDPR and data protection Facilities coordination or site compliance experience
NVQ Level 3 or equivalent in Business Admin or Customer Service
