St Peter's Hill Surgery is looking for a receptionist to work in our busy town centre practice, within our multi disciplinary team. The successful person will be highly motivated, confident, enthusiastic, can answer telephones in a professional and courteous manner, with excellent communication and administration skills.
Provide general assistance to the Practice team and project a positive and friendly image to patients and other visitors, either in person or via the telephone

Job Responsibilities:
Administration
Completing and managing tasks as appropriate
Photocopy as requested
Undertake a variety of administrative duties to assist in the smooth running of the practice
Reception
Greeting patients and visitors on arrival.
Assist and direct patients to access the appropriate service or healthcare professional
Answering general enquiries
Appointments
Process appointment requests from patients by telephone and in person
Add patients without internet access to the online triage tool, AskmyGP
Computer
Process patients change of address computer data and medical records (have knowledge of Practice area.
Process repeat prescription requests in accordance with Practice guidelines.
Other Tasks
Clear rooms after surgeries
Unlock and lock the building as necessary, set building security
Any other tasks allocated by managers

St Peter's Hill Surgery is a friendly town centre GP practice providing care to 14,500 patients.
Our clinical team consists of 3 GP partners, 3 salaried GPs, ANP, paramedic and a well established nursing team, complemented by a friendly and established admin, secretarial and reception team.
We work closely with our primary care network and other organisations who deliver care for our patient population

In the performance of the duties outlined in this , the post-holder may have access to confidential information relating to patients and their carers, Practice staff and other healthcare workers. They may also have access to information relating to the Practice as a business organisation. All such information from any source is to be regarded as strictly confidential

The duties and responsibilities may be varied from time to time under direction of the Reception Managers dependent on current and evolving practice workload and staffing levels.
