Thurton Auto Centre is looking for a vibrant Receptionist to be the welcoming face and voice of our busy, fast-paced automotive business -- covering our MOT, service & repair centre, Motorhome and Caravan Care department, and Vehicle Sales Brokerage.

About the Role

You'll be based at the heart of our reception area, ensuring every customer receives a warm welcome and that calls, bookings and enquiries are handled professionally and efficiently. You will be providing exceptional customer service while managing a variety of administrative tasks. This role requires strong organisational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.

Your Key Responsibilities:

- Meet & Greet customers arriving on site

- Answer and direct telephone calls to the correct department

- Manage appointment bookings using our digital diary system

- Perform data entry tasks accurately and in a timely manner

- Handle general enquiries for our Service, Motorhome Care and Sales teams

- Provide refreshments and ensure the reception area is tidy and welcoming

- Support with admin tasks including paperwork, keys, and booking confirmations

- Keep customers updated with booking reminders or service updates when needed

- Ensure the reception area is tidy and welcoming at all times

A team player with a can-do attitude
Great phone manner and communication skills
Well-organised and proactive with the ability to prioritise tasks effectively
Comfortable using a computer and booking system (training provided)
Previous receptionist or front-of-house experience is an advantage, but not essential
Previous office experience is essential, preferably in a receptionist or administrative role
Strong computer skills, including proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook) and Google Workspace
