Receptionist (maternity Cover)

Job Description

Walters & Company are recruiting for a Receptionist for maternity cover on a fixed term 9-12 month contract starting in December 2025. This role will be office based in a busy Accountancy practice, the role could be either full time or part time (Monday to Friday - 6hrs per day minimum).

Main Responsibilities:



- Answering telephones

- Preparing emails and letters

- Communicating with clients on various matters

- Opening post and scanning to our computer systems

- Providing secretarial assistance to other staff members

- Greeting clients for meetings

- Maintaining office supply levels (stationery etc.)

Skills required:



- Well organised with good time management skills

- Ability to work proactively alone and as part of a team

- Good communication skills (verbal and written)

- Strong IT skills including use of Microsoft products

This role will be office based in Great Dunmow

Job Types: Full-time, Part-time, Fixed term contract
Contract length: 9-12 months

Pay: 12.21 per hour

Expected hours: 30 - 37.5 per week

Ability to commute/relocate:

Great Dunmow, CM6 1UU: reliably commute or plan to relocate before starting work (required)
Education:

GCSE or equivalent (preferred)
Experience:

Customer service: 1 year (preferred) Administrative experience: 1 year (preferred)
Licence/Certification:

Driving Licence (preferred)
Work Location: In person
