Our team of experienced veterinary professionals is committed to delivering exceptional service, and we are seeking a passionate and dedicated receptionist to join our friendly and dynamic team.
As Veterinary Receptionist, you will be the first point of contact for clients and their pets. Your primary role is to ensure a smooth, welcoming, and efficient experience for our clients while providing administrative support to our veterinary team. You will help create a positive and professional atmosphere that reflects our commitment to quality care and customer satisfaction.
Key Responsibilities:
Providing a warm and professional welcome to clients and visitors
Handling incoming referral enquiries via phone and email
Booking and coordinating referral appointments
Liaising with veterinary teams both internal and external to coordinate care
Building positive relationships with owners and referring vets
Maintaining accurate client and patient records using practice management software
Processing payments and assisting with day-to-day administrative tasks
Ensuring the reception area remains clean, calm, and well-presented at all times
Assist the veterinary team with client communication and follow-up as needed.
Stay informed about the services offered by our practice and be ready to answer client questions.
Key Skills and Qualifications:
Previous experience in a customer service role
Strong communication skills, with a friendly and professional telephone manner.
Excellent organizational abilities and attention to detail.
Ability to remain calm under pressure and manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
Strong computer literacy, with proficiency in using office software and practice management systems.
Empathy and a love for animals, understanding the emotional nature of the work.
A positive, proactive attitude and the ability to work well in a team-oriented environment.
