Job Summary:
We are seeking a professional and friendly experienced Receptionist to join our friendly Hotel Reception team. The ideal candidate will be the first point of contact for visitors and provide administrative support across the organization. You must have customer facing experience in a similar role and be computer literate with an excellent telephone manner. Full training will be given on the systems and processes at the Hotel but the ideal candidate must be confident in dealing with guests both in person and via the telephone efficiently and professionally at all times. Hours of work tend to be 8 hour shifts between the hours of 7.30am to 10.30pm including Weekends, Bank Holidays, Christmas and New Year. The role includes making and managing reservations, allocating rooms, checking guests in and out, taking payments, responding to e-mails and making and receiving telephone calls
Duties:
- Greet and welcome guests as soon as they arrive at the Hotel
- Direct visitors to the appropriate person and office
- Answer, screen, and forward incoming phone calls
- Provide accurate information in-person and via phone/email
- Money handling and cashing up at the end of a shift
- Make and manage reservations
- Check in & out guests
- Reservation queries
Qualifications:
- Excellent phone etiquette skills
- Proficiency for basic accounting tasks
- Strong administrative skills
- Ability to type accurately and efficiently
- Exceptional organizational abilities to manage tasks effectively
- Capability to computerize information for record keeping
- Proficient in data entry for maintaining accurate records
