Job Description

We're looking for a Receptionist to join our team at the Belfast Hospice for a fixed term period of 6-months.


The Receptionist at Marie Curie is the first point of contact for visitors and professionals at the hospice, providing a warm, professional, and responsive service to ensure everyone feels welcomed and supported. This role is vital in helping people access services and support, while also delivering a range of administrative tasks and compassionate communication to patients, families, and colleagues, all in line with Marie Curie's values of kindness, empathy, and respect.

Salary:

Marie Curie Clinical Pay Scale Band 2 (aligned with AFC) 24,465 per annum + enhancements

Contract

Fixed term contract, 6-months. Full-time hours - 37.5 hours per week.

What we're looking for:



Compassionate and empathetic communicator, able to support people with sensitivity and respect. Experience in administration or a customer-facing role, with strong organisational skills. Confident using Microsoft Office applications (Word, Outlook, Excel, Teams) and able to manage multiple tasks efficiently. Ability to work flexibly, prioritise workload, and remain calm under pressure. Committed to upholding Marie Curie's values of kindness, honesty, and inclusivity. NVQ in Customer Service or similar is desirable. Willingness to support and work alongside volunteers, and to contribute positively to a team environment.
