Hours:

16-24 hours per week (flexible cover as and when required)

Shifts:

7:00am-3:00pm and 3:00pm-11:00pm

The Carmichael Hotel is a welcoming, independently operated hotel in Hull, committed to providing exceptional guest experiences. We're looking for a friendly, reliable, and professional individual to join our front desk team as a part-time receptionist.

Role Overview:

As a Receptionist, you'll be the first point of contact for guests, ensuring their stay is smooth from check-in to check-out. You'll handle bookings, process payments, answer enquiries, and provide excellent customer service throughout.

Key Responsibilities:

Greet guests warmly and manage check-in/check-out procedures. Handle room bookings and guest enquiries via phone, email, and in person. Process payments and maintain accurate records. Provide information about hotel facilities, local attractions, and services. Maintain the reception area to a high standard of cleanliness and presentation. Assist with administrative tasks and basic reporting using Excel. Support other departments when needed to ensure smooth hotel operations.

Requirements:

Previous reception or customer service experience is

advantageous

. Knowledge of Excel and basic computer systems. A good understanding of the hospitality industry preferred. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Flexible approach to working hours, including weekend and holiday cover as required. Must be available for both

7am-3pm

and

3pm-11pm

shifts.
