You will be working with our front-line clinical teams to support the delivery of the highest quality primary care service to our patients. As part of the Welcoming Team you will play a key part in our patients journey - welcoming them to our surgeries with kindness and understanding, displaying the excellence in service our patient populations deserve.
Location: Opportunities available across our South East London surgeries incl. West Norwood, Lewisham, Deptford.

Hours: Ideally full time; part time applicants also considered
Salary: 20,530 - 23,463 WTE depending on experience
Key Responsibilities
GP Receptionists will be responsible for helping to maintain a friendly but effective first-line of patient contact, deal with patient tasks appropriately, follow our systems and protocols and keep the practice presentable and safe.
Day to day responsibilities include answering patient queries on the phone, booking patients with the right clinician, calling patients to book them in for health checks and vaccinations. You'll need to follow our systems, policies and procedures carefully and ensure that you maintain confidentiality at all times.
Skills, Knowledge and Expertise
About you:
The right candidate will demonstrate excellent communication skills, be warm, friendly and empathetic but also able to influence and negotiate with patients. You'll be a fast learner who can follow our processes carefully as well as an enthusiastic and confident team player who will fit in well with our team.
Minimum requirements: candidates must be comfortable with computers. Previous experience working in a GP practice or with EMIS is preferred but not required. Experience in customer service fields and second languages may be helpful in your application.
