We are looking for an enthusiastic animal lover with experience working in kennels or vet reception and an admin background, who can join our existing team. The position is part time but flexible and covers 16 hours per week over 2 days with Flexibility to take on extra hours to cover sickness and holidays is essential.
You will be the first person who greets our customers and a professional appearance and amenable outgoing personality is key!
Duties include:
Meeting and greeting customers and their pets, checking them in/out for daycare or boarding. Answering calls and dealing with all customer requests such as taking bookings, dealing with emails, messages, social media. Posting daily photos to our social media pages. Taking payments, completing handover paperwork and general cleaning duties.
There may also be an element of Kennel and Cattery work which could include: feeding dogs/cats and, walking dogs, ensuring the highest level of care and welfare for the animals staying with us while also being able to offer excellent customer service. This is a physical role as well as desk based and can be working outside in all weathers. A love of all types of dogs and cats is essential.
We are a busy kennels and cattery and open 365 days a year so it is important to note that there will be cover needed at points over Christmas / New Year/ Easter / Bank Holidays and we are busiest at school holiday times which will impact holiday allowances.
Access to transport is essential due to location.
