Job Summary:
To be responsible for the effective daily management and operation of Reception
To provide a welcoming and calm environment for visitors
To be responsible for the telephone service in a friendly, professional manner
To liaise with other receptionists to ensure a smooth daily handover and provide cover for annual leave, sickness etc.
To book and take payments for staff/visitor meals
Key Tasks:
To deal with staff, families of clients/residents, contractors etc and a cross section of visitors who frequent the home in a manner which will inspire confidence through:
Good communication skills
Pleasant, polite and helpful manner
Neat & tidy appearance
Organised handling of records and documents whilst complying with the Data Protection Act 1988
To be computer literate: use of Word/Excel/e-mail etc
To report any problems to the Operations Manager/Administrator
To carry out other duties you may reasonably be asked to do
To arrive on duty punctually and notify the Operations Manager/Administrator at the earliest opportunity of any intended absence.
Specific Administrative tasks allocated from the management team
From time to time sundry tasks may be required by the Fund Raising team
