A part-time opportunity has arisen to join our friendly and well-respected clinic due to retirement. Patient care is at the centre of everything we do and we need a great team member to help deliver our service.
We are looking for a Receptionist to join us on a permanent part-time basis. Previous experience of working within an administrative setting is required and the successful candidate will also be able to work and maintain high standards whilst under pressure in our busy private clinic. Being flexible to cover holidays and occasional sickness is vital as well as being a team player. As the first point of contact for patients attending appointments or contacting the clinic, you must present a friendly and helpful attitude.
Duties and responsibilities:
Greeting patients and visitors in a friendly and professional manner.
Process telephone and email requests for appointments.
Taking payments by card and cash.
Ensuring patients complete registration and insurance documentation within procedures and guidelines.
Maintaining and monitoring the clinic appointments system.
Responding to queries from patients, medical insurance providers and intermediaries whilst adhering to patient confidentiality and maintaining data protection at all times.
Processing incoming and outgoing mail
Taking messages and passing on information
Scanning and uploading patient information, medical reports and correspondence from consultants to ensure patient records are up to date and all information is available to the clinical team.
Providing assistance to the clinical team as required, typing letters to Consultants, GPs and medical insurance providers using Microsoft Word (no specific typing qualification or experience necessary but good keyboard skills required)
Opening up/locking-up of clinic premises
Tidying and re-stocking consulting rooms as required
General cleaning duties

- Awareness of data protection regulations
- Previous experience of working within healthcare setting
- Experience of typing
Job Information
Type: Permanent, Part-time
Pay: 12.21 per hour
Hours: approx 12 hours per week split across two afternoons/evenings till 8pm
Working Day Schedule: To be confirmed
Start Date: week commencing 19th January 2026 (Training prior to this to be arranged)
