Healthy Hyde PCN is a collaborative network of eight GP practices serving approximately 80,000 patients in the Hyde area. Our services include, complex case management, extended access appointments, ambulatory care, mental health support, and community health initiatives.
Role Overview:
We are seeking a dedicated and organised Receptionist & Administrator to join our team. The successful candidate will be the first point of contact for patients and visitors, ensuring a welcoming and efficient front desk service. This role involves coordinating patient appointments, managing communications between GP practices, and performing various administrative tasks to support the smooth operation of our services.
Key Responsibilities:
Greet and assist patients and visitors in a professional and courteous manner.
Schedule and manage patient appointments, ensuring accurate and timely bookings.
Handle incoming calls and emails, addressing enquiries or directing them to the appropriate team members.
Process and manage caseloads received from GP practices, ensuring efficient workflow.
Maintain patient records and ensure confidentiality in line with NHS guidelines.
Perform general clerical duties, including filing, scanning, and data entry.
Collaborate with healthcare professionals to facilitate effective communication and patient care.
Person Specification:
Previous experience in a GP receptionist or administrative role (ESSENTIAL)
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Strong organisational abilities with attention to detail.
Proficient in using computer systems and office software.
Ability to handle sensitive information with discretion and maintain patient confidentiality.
A proactive and flexible approach to work, with the ability to adapt to changing priorities.
