We have an exciting opportunity for a medical receptionist/administrator to join our team on a permanent full time basis for 37 hours per week over 5 days. Job share alternatives may be considered, to cover the full time hours per week.
We are a friendly, 6 partner, GP training Practice in Irvine with approximately 6,600 patients.
We are seeking a well-organised, forward thinking and highly motivated individual to expand our well established admin team.
The main function of this role will be to aid the smooth running of the reception and duties will include:
Dealing with patients at reception and by telephone
Processing Prescriptions and mail
Booking appointments
Signposting to appropriate services
Other administrative duties following in-house training
The successful candidate must possess excellent communication skills and the ability to work in a fast paced environment, as part of a busy team.
Previous experience of working within primary care is preferred, with experience of using EMIS and DOCMAN clinical systems being advantageous, but not essential as training will be provided.
