Job Description

The Veterinary Receptionist is the first point of contact for clients and their pets, ensuring a welcoming and professional atmosphere. This role involves managing front desk operations, scheduling appointments, handling client communications, and supporting the veterinary team with administrative tasks.

Key Responsibilities

Client Service & Communication:



- Greet clients and pets warmly, providing excellent customer service.

- Answer phone calls, schedule appointments, and respond to inquiries.

- Provide accurate information about services, pricing, and clinic policies.

- Handle client check-ins and check-outs, including processing payments.

- Communicate effectively between clients and veterinary staff.

Administrative Duties



- Maintain and update client and patient records in the practice management software.

- Manage appointment scheduling, reminders, and follow-ups.

- Process payments, invoices, and insurance claims.

- Assist with inventory management and ordering supplies.

- File and organize medical records and other documents.

Clinic Support:



- Assist veterinary staff with basic tasks as needed (e.g., restraining pets, cleaning exam rooms).

- Monitor waiting areas and ensure a clean, safe, and welcoming environment.

- Handle emergency situations calmly and direct clients appropriately.

Qualifications & Skills



- Previous experience in customer service, reception, or a veterinary setting preferred.

- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.

- Comfortable working with animals of all sizes and temperaments.

- Good computer proficiency

- Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.

- Compassionate, professional, and reliable.

Pay: 25,000.00-28,000.00 per year
