Job Description

Receptionist/ Administrator

Full-time

Office based: Central St Albans

Monday - Friday 09:00 -17:00

A bit about us:

Oxona Healthcare is a new type of private healthcare. We aim to offer accessible and affordable treatments for pay-as-you-go patients at a community level. No big expensive hospitals or spiralling bills, just excellent healthcare at a fair and transparent price. All appointments are with our experienced team of GPs and Consultants Dermatologists. We work from five locations, with permanent offices in Oxford and St Albans, and branch surgeries in Chipping Norton, Didcot and Caversham. As a business we are looking to grow to bring accessible healthcare to more communities.

The role:

We are seeking an experienced receptionist and administrator. We are a busy private medical clinic, and require an individual who is capable of juggling multiple tasks.

The role requires someone confident and welcoming to greet our patients. They are often nervous and enjoy engaging with our reception team to put them at ease and answer any questions. The telephones are busy and patients can ask detailed questions. We pride ourselves on giving a really informed telephone service and supporting patients from point of booking through to follow-up. We need an individual who is keen to learn the ins and outs of clinical dermatology - a lot of medical terminology and knowledge. We provide all training but we would expect ability and aptitude to learn.

Excellent written communication is a must. We have a busy inbox, and you would be supporting the clinic manager to answer enquiries.

Administrative duties would include organising paperwork, scanning and filing. Attention to detail and thorough processes are imperative. Light PA duties to the Directors as required, this would include some elements of diary and inbox management, responding to emails, prioritising tasks etc.

You would be the key person in the Oxford team getting to know all our doctors and patients. We pride ourselves on offering a really friendly working atmosphere with a flat and supportive structure. However, it is a small office and would suit a highly motivated self-starter. This role is not suited to someone looking for a big team environment.

We recognise not all candidates will come to us with a background in healthcare so we are very keen to speak to candidates with wider experience who are interested in the healthcare/ Dermatology industry.

You will be based in our office in Oxford. Free parking is available.
