We are looking for a friendly, enthusiastic and reliable Receptionist to join our supportive administration team at Almond Road Surgery. This is a key front-facing role requiring excellent interpersonal skills and a strong commitment to providing outstanding service to our patients and colleagues. Key Requirements:
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Empathetic, professional, and courteous manner
Ability to handle confidential information sensitively and appropriately
IT literate and comfortable learning new systems
Able to work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team
Previous GP receptionist experience is desirable, but not essential Hours of Work:
Total of 27 hours per week (1 hour unpaid lunch each day) Working pattern:

Main duties of the job
Answering incoming telephone calls promptly and professionally
Responding to patient enquiries both by phone and in person
Signposting patients to the appropriate clinician or service
Calling ambulances or escalating urgent matters where necessary
Processing repeat prescription requests
Registering new patients and updating records accurately
Scanning and managing clinical correspondence and documents
Supporting the practice team with general reception and administrative duties

Almond Road Surgery is a welcoming and well-established GP practice based in St Neots, serving a patient population of 7,750. We are proud to have been rated Good by the CQC in our most recent inspection in 2022.
Our practice team is known for being friendly, supportive and collaborative. Our administration team includes five experienced receptionists and two dedicated secretaries/administrators, all of whom play a vital role in delivering a high standard of service to both patients and clinicians. We work closely with a multidisciplinary clinical team to ensure that every patient receives the care and support they need.
