We have an exciting opportunity to join our friendly, efficient Reception/Care Navigator team at St Wulfstan Surgery. Our Reception/Care Navigator team scored exceptional results in the latest national GP Patient Survey, which reported that 94% of patients find it easy to get through on the phone and 100% find the Reception/Care Navigator team helpful.

As part of our Reception/Care Navigator team you will have the opportunity to offer general assistance to the Practice, patients and other visitors, undertaking a variety of administrative duties and assisting in the smooth running of the Practice. The successful candidate will work as part of a team delivering our front of house and care navigation services, signposting patients to the best and most effective care pathway. The role includes opening and closing the surgery, booking appointments, processing repeat prescriptions and samples. The team work with the wider practice staff to provide caring, compassionate and quality care for everyone and help arrange additional support for our more vulnerable patients to ensure they get the best possible care.
The successful candidate will receive full induction and training but must have a good standard of numeracy and literacy and be computer literate. Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, both verbal and written, are essential. You should have a great telephone manner and be able to demonstrate an excellent level of customer service skills. You should be able to work on your own initiative and as part of a team. You should be friendly, reliable and able to operate effectively in a busy environment. Sound understanding of the need for professional confidentiality is a must.
The working hours are:
Monday to Friday: The actual arrangement is to be agreed but our opening hours are from 07:30 to 18:30.
