We are currently seeking a friendly, organised and professional individual to join our dedicated team as a Receptionist/Legal Secretary in our Truro office.

Job Responsibilities:



Attend clients both in person and on the telephone and to provide such support in a professional and friendly manner in keeping with the firm's standards for client care. To pass on any messages efficiently. Prepare correspondence and documents through audio-typing and word processing. Administer filing which will include daily filing and the opening, closing, storage and retrieval of client files in accordance with the detailed procedures contained in the office manual and paperless guide. Prepare mail and enclosures for dispatch. To complete all photocopying/scanning jobs efficiently and with accuracy. Make appointments, arrange meetings and to maintain an up to date diary as required. Prepare the meeting room for appointments as necessary, and to be responsible for tidying the room at the end of the meeting. Provide refreshments when asked to do so. Provide support to other secretaries if required. Provide guidance to colleagues where necessary. Undertake any specific training when asked, and overall to have a responsibility towards self-development. Ensure the confidentiality of all the firm's and clients' documentation and information. Collecting and delivering post in the mornings and evenings if required. Occasional banking duties if required.

Qualifications and Skills:



To be considered for this position, you should meet the following requirements:

GCSE or equivalent English and Maths (Grade 4 or above) Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Strong organisational and time management abilities. Professional and friendly manner with excellent customer service skills. Basic knowledge of MS Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook). Attention to detail and accuracy in completing tasks. Ability to work effectively in a team environment. Reliable and punctual with a strong work ethic. Commitment to maintaining confidentiality and privacy of sensitive information. Prior experience in a customer service or office environment is advantageous but not required.
