We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Receptionist/Optical Assistant to join our team. In this role, you will provide essential support in a busy optical environment, ensuring a smooth operation while delivering excellent customer service. The ideal candidate will possess strong organisational skills and be proficient in various administrative tasks, contributing to the overall efficiency of our practice.
Responsibilities
Greet and assist patients as they arrive, ensuring a welcoming atmosphere.
Manage phone etiquette by handling incoming calls professionally and addressing patient inquiries.
Perform data entry tasks accurately, maintaining up-to-date patient records and appointment schedules.
Assist in the clerical duties of the practice, including filing, scanning, and managing correspondence.
Support the optical team with inventory management, ensuring supplies are stocked and organised.
Maintain cleanliness and organisation within the practice environment to promote a professional appearance.
Experience
Previous experience in an reception or administrative role is preferred but not essential.
Familiarity with computerised systems and data entry processes is highly advantageous.
Strong organisational skills with the ability to multitask effectively in a fast-paced environment.
Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, to interact with patients and colleagues effectively.
A proactive attitude towards learning new skills related to the optical field will be beneficial.
