We are seeking an experienced and capable Receptionist to join our team in Sutton Coldfield. The role will be to present a professional, caring and positive image of the firm by greeting clients and visitors and answering calls to the busy switchboard. A polite and friendly manner is essential at all times.
The successful candidate will possess well-developed interpersonal skills, which will facilitate effective interaction with a diverse range of people on a daily basis. Additionally, your organisational skills will be tested by the need to manage numerous client and internal meetings and room bookings that take place throughout each day. You will have a strong eye for detail and have competent computer skills, which will enable you to quickly learn how to use our telephone and practice management systems. A smart dress code is essential at all times as you will be "front of house" and representing the firm.
The successful candidate should also possess efficient administration skills so as to ensure that important documents such as by hands and special deliveries are logged, and are then passed on to the appropriate fee earner in a timely manner. In addition, as EPO has a Lichfield office, documents will be passing between the two offices on a daily basis and this needs to be co-ordinated very carefully in order to avoid valuable documents being lost.
Other general administration duties involve updating the internal telephone list as required, opening and date stamping all incoming post in the morning, and franking outgoing post in the evening, ensuring that all recorded and special deliveries are logged. The candidate will also need to order supplies for the franking machine as required.
It will also be important for the successful candidate to learn quickly about the Practice and how it is run, in order to be able to effectively answer numerous client and visitor enquiries. Good teamworking skills are also required, as you will be working alongside our existing Head Receptionist.
Other key accountabilities include ensuring the reception area and meeting rooms are maintained and presented to a high standard at all times and scanning/photocopying documents for clients, as required, i.e. identification documents and statements.

Job Type: Part-time, 14hrs
Holiday cover will be needed for 4 weeks per year to cover the 3-day Receptionist's annual leave.
Working days required: Thursday - Friday 9am - 5pm
1 hour for lunch between 12pm - 1pm
