WHSmith is one of the UK's most successful and established retailers. Celebrating our 225th anniversary, we're still breaking stereotypes and progressing year on year. We now have an exciting opportunity for an experienced Recoveries Assistant to join our Travel Financial Accounting team. The role will be based at our Head Office in Swindon and we are looking for a talented, dynamic individual to join us.

What you will be doing:

Accurate and timely raising of invoices to our customers including franchise partners

Management of payments from our franchise partners

Recovery of monies from airlines for refreshment vouchers

Credit control of airline accounts and some franchise partners

Setting up of new suppliers within WHS systems

Processing of invoices directly into the ledger system

Dealing with supplier queries and statement reconciliations

Assist other members of the team with ad-hoc tasks as required

What we are looking for:

Previous experience in a similar role

High attention to detail

Strong organising and prioritising skills

Numerate and analytical

Strong interpersonal skills

Quick learner

High desire to succeed and take pride in own work

Unafraid to seek the right person and ask for help

Strong written and verbal communication skills

Proficient in the use of Excel (ability to perform Vlookups highly beneficial)
