A leading international law firm is looking to recruit an experienced Recoveries Manager to join their growing Property, Energy and Construction team based in Manchester. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone with a strong background in handling property damage recovery claims to take a step into a leadership role within a highly respected team.
In this position, you will not only manage a diverse caseload of property damage recovery matters from inception to completion, but also support and mentor junior team members to ensure high-quality client service and continued team development.
As a Recoveries Manager, you will:

• Manage a varied caseload of property damage recovery claims, including those involving fire, flood, impact, escape of water and other insured perils.
• Handle matters pre- and post-litigation, including issuing proceedings and managing claims through to enforcement or settlement.
• Negotiate settlements with third parties, insurers, and solicitors to ensure successful recoveries.
• Work closely with clients to provide clear, commercially sound advice throughout the claims process.
• Supervise and mentor junior fee earners, supporting their professional development.
• Maintain compliance with client SLAs and internal case-handling standards.

What we're looking for:

• Proven experience in property damage recoveries.
• Solid understanding of the litigation process, particularly in property damage and recoveries.
• Experience managing files independently with minimal supervision.
• Previous experience in a supervising or mentoring role is desirable.
• Excellent organisational skills and case management abilities.
• Proficiency with legal case management systems.
