We are seeking a positive, motivated and committed

Recovery Coordinator

to join our multidisciplinary Drug and Alcohol Service based at

Erith Health Centre

in Bexley. This is an exciting opportunity to play a key role in supporting individuals aged 18+ to build and sustain long-term recovery.

As part of this role, the successful applicant will also act as a

lead for our Ketamine Project

, supporting the development and delivery of targeted interventions for individuals affected by ketamine use.

About the Role


As a Recovery Coordinator, you will work as part of a dynamic multidisciplinary team, delivering psychosocial interventions through both

one-to-one support and peer-led group work

. You will support service users to build recovery capital, increase self-efficacy and achieve their individual recovery goals, recognising that people are experts in their own lives and may simply need support along their recovery journey.

The team consists of

7 Recovery Coordinators, 1 Trainee Recovery Coordinator

, and

2 Criminal Justice Recovery Coordinators

, working closely alongside colleagues within prison and probation services. The service is run by

South London and Maudsley (SLAM)

and has a strong focus on psychosocial interventions.

What You'll Do



Manage a caseload of service users, devising, implementing and reviewing ongoing recovery and treatment plans Carry out triage, screening and comprehensive assessments Deliver structured psychosocial interventions in both group and one-to-one settings Work collaboratively with partner agencies to support service user progression from engagement through to sustained recovery Facilitate access to treatment pathways and community resources to build recovery and social capital Liaise with families, significant others and professionals where appropriate Lead on the development and delivery of ketamine-specific interventions as part of the Ketamine Project

About you



We are looking for individuals who can confidently navigate a

fast-paced service

and support people with

complex needs

. You will be adaptable, compassionate and solution-focused, with a strong commitment to recovery-oriented practice.

Direct substance use experience is

desirable but not essential

, and we actively encourage applications from candidates with

transferable skills and relevant experience

.

Ideally, you will have:



Experience working within the

drug and alcohol sector

Experience delivering

group interventions

An understanding of the impact of

ketamine use

on individuals and communities Strong communication, assessment and organisational skills
Please note: The salary listed reflects the full earning potential for this role. Starting salaries depend on experience and progression within the band.
