Job Overview

We are seeking a reliable and skilled Driver to join our team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in commercial driving and delivery services, with the ability to operate various types of vehicles, including flatbed lorries. This role requires excellent communication skills and a commitment to safety and efficiency in all driving tasks.

Duties

Safely operate commercial vehicles, ensuring compliance with all traffic regulations and company policies. Execute timely deliveries to designated locations while maintaining accurate records of deliveries made. Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections of the vehicle to ensure it is in good working order. Load and unload goods, ensuring proper handling and securing of cargo, particularly when using flatbed lorries. Maintain effective communication with warehouse staff and management regarding delivery schedules and any potential issues. Provide exceptional customer service during deliveries, addressing any queries or concerns from clients. Assist with warehouse duties as needed, including inventory management and organisation.

Skills

Proven experience in commercial driving, with a valid driving licence appropriate for the vehicle type. Previous experience as a delivery driver is highly desirable. Mechanical knowledge to perform basic vehicle maintenance and troubleshooting. Familiarity with flatbed lorries is advantageous. Strong communication skills for effective interaction with team members and clients. Experience in warehouse operations is beneficial, contributing to overall efficiency in logistics processes.
