Job Summary


Due to continued expansion, we are seeking a reliable and skilled recovery driver to join our team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong understanding of mechanical operations and have experience in various driving capacities, including recovery and commercial driving. This role involves transporting vehicles & passengers safely and efficiently while ensuring compliance with all relevant regulations. This is a full time / permanent position. Prior experience within the industry is preferred but not necessary as we provide in house and industry standard training to all personnel, The ideal person would have the ability to use our light and heavy recovery vehicles and not be afraid to jump into our service van if required.

Duties



Operate vehicles, including slide bed recovery vehicles & spectacle lifts, to deliver vehicles to designated locations. Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections of the vehicle & equipment to ensure safety and functionality. Load and unload vehicles, ensuring proper handling and securing during transport. Maintain accurate delivery records and communicate effectively with customers and members with regards to ETA's and collections / delivery times. Adhere to all traffic laws and company policies while driving. Provide excellent customer service during collections / deliveries, addressing any concerns or queries from clients. Assist in the yard as needed, including inventory management, regular equipment checks and organisation.

Qualifications



Previous experience as a recovery driver or a similar driving role preferred. Mechanical knowledge to perform basic maintenance on vehicles as required. Valid driving license appropriate for the vehicle type being operated Class 1 (C+E) preferred. Excellent communication skills for effective interaction with clients and team members. Ability to work independently and manage time efficiently to meet ETA's and deadlines. A commitment to safety and adherence to all regulations governing vehicle operation and driver regulations. Must hold a valid driver CPC and be able to pass a basic DBS check. Ability to operate company issued PDA for job handling, vehicle check records and vehicle inspection reports. Uniform and PPE provided.
14 per hour starting wage, negotiable depending on experience and qualifications.
