Job Purpose

To provide safe, efficient, and professional roadside assistance, vehicle recovery, and transportation services to JM Towing & Breakdown Ltd customers. The Recovery Driver represents the company on the road and must deliver excellent customer service while maintaining the highest standards of safety and compliance.

Key Responsibilities

Respond promptly to breakdown and recovery callouts as directed by the control team. Recover or transport vehicles using company recovery trucks (tilt and slide, or beavertail types). Carry out roadside assistance, including jump starts, wheel changes, and basic fault assessments. Ensure all recovery operations are carried out safely and in line with company method statements, risk assessments, and PAS 43 procedures. Maintain communication with control staff to provide accurate ETAs and job updates. Complete all required documentation (job sheets, inspection checklists, customer signatures, etc.). Perform daily vehicle checks, report any defects immediately, and ensure vehicles are clean and presentable. Secure loads correctly using approved equipment (straps, chains, wheel restraints). Assist customers in a professional and courteous manner, ensuring their safety at all times. Follow all traffic laws, health & safety policies, and company procedures.
