At CrossReach's Residential Recovery Service, we believe that recovery is always possible and that everyone deserves to be heard, supported, and empowered. That's where you come in. We're looking for a thoughtful, empathetic Addictions Worker who can deliver one-to-one therapy and bring compassion, structure and real-life tools to those on the path to recovery from addiction.

What you'll do

You'll provide specialist, individual therapy to clients receiving residential and day care support. You'll work closely with each person's keyworker, using a Cognitive Behavioural Therapy approach (particularly REBT) to help clients gain confidence and clarity in a safe, non-judgemental space. From first introductions to measurable progress, you'll be a steady, encouraging presence in their journey.

You'll also:

Plan and deliver structured therapy sessions Work collaboratively with specialist teams Monitor outcomes and contribute to case reviews Keep accurate, confidential records and reports Support quality assurance and continuous improvement Stay current with best practice and professional standards

What you'll bring

You'll need either experience or qualifications in counselling, psychology or addiction work (ideally a COSCA certificate or REBT training), plus confidence working independently and as part of a team. More importantly, you'll bring empathy, resilience and strong professional boundaries.

As we do our work in Christ's name the job you have applied for requires you to have a Christian faith and be able to work within and uphold our Christian Ethos. This is an Occupational Requirement under Part 1 of Schedule 9 to the Equality Act 2010.


This post requires you to be a member of the Protecting Vulnerable Groups (PVG) Scheme and undertake the necessary vetting checks. You will also be required to be registered with SSSC and it is your professional responsibility to ensure that you meet the standards and criteria for registration.
