We're currently looking for a compassionate and organised
Residential Housing Support Recovery Worker
to join our
Kent Recovery Houses
team. These recovery-focused homes provide structured accommodation and person-centred support for adults who are abstinent from drugs and alcohol and committed to their ongoing recovery.
As a key member of the team, you'll support residents in building independence, maintaining abstinence, and preparing to move on to longer-term housing. You'll also help manage the practical elements of supported housing--from tenancy agreements and rent accounts to health and safety and maintenance.
This role is ideal for someone with a background in supported housing or recovery services, who is ready to bring their skills, empathy, and energy to a team that's transforming lives every day.
Full Time Hours:
37.5 per week
Full time Salary Range:
27,861.26 - 32,002.35 (Dependent on experience, pro rata for part time hours).Please note: Full-time hours at Change Grow Live are 37.5 hours per week. For part-time roles, the salary and payments will be pro rata based on contracted hours.
Responsibilities:
About the role:
This is a varied and rewarding role where no two days are the same. You'll be working closely with residents to support their recovery and promote independent living in a safe, stable environment. You'll provide person-centred keywork support while also managing tenancy agreements, rent accounts, and coordinating housing benefit applications.
You'll also:
Carry out regular health & safety and property checks
Liaise with maintenance teams and external housing bodies
Support residents in accessing move-on housing and community resources
Work as part of a passionate team who are driven by compassion and hope
This role is based across our Folkestone and Canterbury projects.
About you:
You'll be someone who is committed to empowering people on their recovery journeys and confident working in a structured housing environment. You'll bring both
compassion
and
practicality
, with a strong understanding of housing legislation, welfare benefits, and health & safety compliance.
We're especially looking for people who have:
Experience in supported accommodation, housing management, or social housing
Knowledge of tenancy agreements and rent arrears processes
A flexible approach and strong team ethic
Experience in substance misuse, social care, or recovery work (desirable)
The ability to travel between Folkestone and Canterbury as needed
