About the role



Join us as a Recovery Worker in Richmond and Wandsworth.



We are recruiting for Recovery Workers for our Offender Care team based at our Richmond and Wandsworth services, providing an excellent and first-class range of drug and alcohol treatment options, with a focus on criminal justice. At our services in Richmond and Wandsworth, WithYou works closely with the lead provider, South London and Maudsley NHS Foundation Trust and partners, St Mungo's and the charity CDARS (Community Drug and Alcohol Recovery Services), providing free and confidential support to adults in Wandsworth and Richmond experiencing challenges with drugs and alcohol.



The Wandsworth drug and alcohol service is based in Battersea and is located 10 minutes walk from Clapham Junction train station, which has a busy local shopping district. The Richmond drug and alcohol service is based in Twickenham, not far from the river and the high street and less than a 10 minute walk from Twickenham train station.



As a leading charity supporting people with drug, alcohol, and mental health challenges, we operate over 80 services across England and Scotland, providing free and confidential support to more than 100,000 people each year.

As a Recovery Worker you will be providing support and advice to people who are experiencing difficulties due to substance misuse. You will be working within a highly skilled and knowledgeable multi-disciplinary team who will support you in your development and your ability to deliver the best care you can to our clients.



Our Recovery Workers play a vital role in supporting clients to identify their goals, ambitions, and passions. You'll work with them to create the best treatment plan for their needs and to guide them on their path to recovery. This is an integral role for With You - as a frontline worker, you will deliver continuity of care through effective partnership working, care coordination, delivery of interventions and key work responsibilities.



There are two positions available that are full time and permanent. The salary is 28,570 - 35.762.50 per annum (this is inclusive of a Inner London Weighting payment of 4,000 per year).



Essential Skills



We are looking for positive and motivated candidates who are able to communicate with a wide range of people. You will also be organised with excellent time management skills.



To be successful in this role you will:



have some experience of working in a health, social care, or related setting

have experience of working within a criminal justice setting

have some experience of delivering services in a community setting

have knowledge and understanding of delivering evidence-based interventions

have the ability to build and maintain effective relationships with clients and colleagues alike

be resilient under pressure and able to prioritise your work

able to be flexible with your working hours on occasion and be happy to support other With You locations when needed


Ideally you will also have previous experience of working or volunteering with people who misuse substances. We welcome applications from those with lived experience.



Please note for these roles you will be required to successfully be vetted for HM Prison clearance, Metropolitan Police clearance and the completion of a satisfactory enhanced DBS check.
