Comcast NBCUniversal has announced its intent to create a new publicly traded company ('Versant') comprised of most of NBCUniversal's cable television networks, including USA Network, CNBC, MSNBC, Oxygen, E!, SYFY and Golf Channel along with complementary digital assets Fandango, Rotten Tomatoes, GolfNow, GolfPass, and SportsEngine. The well-capitalized company will have significant scale as a pure-play set of assets anchored by leading news, sports and entertainment content. The spin-off is expected to be completed during 2025.



VERSANT is looking for an experienced Talent Acquisition Advisor / Recruiter to join their team! This role is ideal for someone who thrives in dynamic environments, brings a consultative and strategic approach to recruiting, and has experience or a passion for roles across news media, sports, entertainment, and technology.



In addition, this recruiter will support our international markets, with a primary focus on the UK (London) and the APAC region. Experience recruiting across global geographies or a strong interest in navigating international markets is highly preferred.


This individual will own the full recruitment life cycle, from intake to offer, and act as a trusted advisor to business leaders. They must be highly collaborative, analytical, and entrepreneurial - someone who thinks and works like an owner, not a renter.


In addition to recruiting, this individual will help elevate the broader TA function through hands-on involvement in projects such as social media and brand building, talent analytics and reporting, candidate experience, TA technology enhancements, hiring team training, and more!

What you'll do:



Lead end-to-end recruiting efforts for roles across news media, sports, entertainment, and technology verticals Partner consultatively with hiring managers and HRBPs to deeply understand business needs and translate them into effective talent strategies Use data and insights to influence talent decisions, guide hiring strategies, and present market intelligence to business leaders Help build and execute talent acquisition initiatives that go beyond hiring - contribute and lead high-impact projects involving TA branding, candidate experience, recruiting tech, hiring team training, inclusive hiring strategies, etc. Develop and implement strategic sourcing plans that attract qualified talent at all levels Help to lead planning of Talent Acquisition events, inclusive of large conferences and onsite networking events Serve as a thought leader and culture carrier within the recruiting team - mentor peers, drive innovation, and identify process improvements Take initiative in improving TA programs and processes - this is a build environment and we want entrepreneurial doers Act as a key voice in shaping the future of the TA function at VERSANT


Qualifications

What you'll need:



7+ years of work experience in full-cycle corporate recruitment environments Experience in translating business talent strategies into actionable recruiting plans Experience in effectively leading and delivering significant initiatives and/or projects Owns and builds excellent stakeholder relationships demonstrating advanced relationship management on behalf of self as well as representing the wider team Exhibits outstanding communication, consulting and influencing skills Demonstrated experience mentoring or helping to develop other team members Bachelor's Degree OR equivalent work experience

Demonstrated success recruiting in fast-paced, creative and/or tech-driven industries such as media, entertainment, sports, and/or technology Excellent analytical mindset with experience using talent data, metrics, and reporting tools to drive recruiting strategies and stakeholder decisions Passionate about TA innovation and excited to be part of building a next-gen recruiting function from the ground up Natural relationship-builder with a collaborative spirit, but also someone who takes ownership and moves quickly Thinks and acts like an owner - driven, resourceful, and accountable Proven aptitude to execute in a changing environment Proficiency with Microsoft Suite and an Applicant Tracking System (ATS)
