Hours of Work:

37.5 hours per week. Hours of work are likely to be 8.30am - 5.00pm Monday to Friday less an hour for lunch (unpaid) but flexibility in hours will be required on occasion to meet the demands of the post.

Salary:

Up to35,000 per annum depending on skills, qualifications and experience. Salary paid monthly in arrears direct into nominated bank account.

Holidays:

5 weeks holiday per annum plus Bank Holidays. Attendance will be required on Bank Holidays that fall during term time, for which time off in lieu will be given.

Pension:

The post-holder will be able to join the Sherborne School Support Staff Pension Scheme on the first day of the month after completion of two months service. Where eligible the post-holder will be auto-enrolled into the Pension Scheme as per current legislation; further details may be obtained from the Director of Human Resources (Bursary).

Principal Role

Sherborne Schools Group is seeking a dynamic and creative individual who will be responsible for Recruitment and Compliance for the Sherborne Schools Group. This is an operational, hands-on recruitment role, as well as an exciting opportunity to play a central part in shaping the Recruitment of the Sherborne School Group as a whole.

Core Responsibilities...

Developing and implementing recruitment strategies and onboarding procedures to align efficient and solution focused processes to attract and hire the best talent. Ensuring compliance with statutory obligations and legislative changes. Overseeing / processing pre-employment checks and on-boarding paperwork (to include Volunteers and Contractors) Overseeing / preparing Contracts of Employment and amendments to Contracts. Providing expert advice and guidance on Recruitment matters across the Group. Maintaining records of recruitment metrics. Production and management of online platforms and job boards. Supporting and training line managers with interview process Recruitment and selection compliance management including and not limited too-obtaining references, DBS checks, Certificates of Good conduct, RTW in the UK, overseas Police checks, arranging medicals, etc. To manage the planning and execution of candidate interview days and ensuring candidates are escorted around site and receive outstanding candidate experience. Following School procedures for the new starters in respect of the Central register (together with provision of the Data Protection Act, Safeguarding best practice, ISI and DBS guidelines) To manage feedback from candidates and expenses. To present back annually on the recruitment budget and expenditure To ensure the Staff Inductions and recruitment policy are adhered too and any contradiction's or issues are escalated to the Director of Human Resources.
