We are looking for a full-time Recruitment Assistant to join our small and friendly HR team based in Sherfield-on-Loddon. The role is a 12-month FTC with the possibility for an extension. The role is working within the care and education sector at a school/residential care home for children with severe autism and complex learning difficulties. The role is 37.5 hours per week, 8:30am-4:30pm Monday to Friday in the office.
The role is mainly responsible for the sourcing of candidates and recruitment administration. It is a fast-paced role and we are looking for someone who is confident and enthusiastic with recruitment and has admin experience.
The successful candidate will need to be passionate about learning/working for our organisation, confident to speak to candidates and be organised and able to work under pressure.
You will manage the response from direct recruitment adverts including managing the recruitment email inbox. You will contact suitable candidates to discuss the roles and the recruitment process. You must be confident to meet and greet interviewees and facilitate the interview processes - interviewing when necessary for a variety of roles. At times you will also be liaising with external recruiters, local colleges, universities and career events.
A large part of the role will be to undertake HR recruitment and the on-boarding administration including creating, writing and placing job adverts.
You will be required to undertake pre-employment checks such as sending and chasing references, undertaking DBS checks and Right to Work checks, as well as undertaking anything else necessary following Safer Recruitment.
The ideal candidate will have at least 1 years experience in recruitment admin.
Preparing contracts of employment and associated documentation
Managing and maintaining the Single Central Record
Managing the creation of all ID badges
Contributing to the creation of the monthly recruitment reports
Supporting the HR team
