Job Description

We are looking to recruit a confident and customer focused administrator to join our HR team. This role is a great opportunity for someone looking to gain experience in recruitment, onboarding and talent acquisition processes which could serve as a foundation for a long-term career in recruitment, HR or learning and development.


As Recruitment & Learning administrator you will be joining the team on a 12-month fixed term contract and will play a key role in the delivery on our talent acquisition process, managing all day-to-day recruitment ensuring compliance with all company procedures and driving best practice. You will also work collaboratively with the HR team to support with our learning and development, reward and recognition and colleague engagement strategies.


This role is within a fast-paced strategic HR team where managing multiple stakeholders and changing priorities will be part of the role so we are looking for candidates who can demonstrate confidence, resilience and excellent attention to detail. You will be joining the team in a full-time role and will be based from our Wigan Office with approx. 3 days per week onsite.


Key Responsibilities:


The role will focus on four areas: recruitment and onboarding, learning and development, reward and recognition and colleague engagement with day-to-day responsibilities covering;


Day-to-day recruitment activities including taking recruitment briefs, advertising vacancies, CV management, screening calls, arranging interviews, and providing feedback
Onboarding new starters including sending offer letters, conducting new starter checks and sharing first day information
Producing up to data and accurate recruitment and onboarding data and reports
Managing the usage, content and reporting of our internal learning system for in house training
Supporting with the coordination of our performance development process
Supporting with the coordination of our reward and recognition scheme
Coordinating colleague social, charity and volunteering activities
Managing relationships with external suppliers across recruitment, learning, training and engagement
Providing general administrative support to the HR team filing, scanning, photocopying, generating reports, and managing emails


What you'll need:


Previous experience working in a customer facing role handling queries and providing updates
Previous experience working in a team environment and can demonstrate confidence to collaborate with different stakeholders
A passion to pursue a career within recruitment, HR or learning and development
Strong IT skills, including experience working with Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint
Clear and professional verbal and written communication skills
Ability to maintain high levels of accuracy and attention to detailAn understanding of the employee lifecycle and awareness of employment laws and regulatory requirements is advantageous but not essential
